Join us in McKinney, TX over Memorial Day weekend for a one of a kind event experience! Yellow Wood Music & Outdoors Festival combines great music with the great outdoors!

Event Details

You can participate in a recreation activity, take a cooking or mixology class, browse through the artisan village or just chill out and listen to music with a craft beer! Help us celebrate the holiday weekend and support our event partners The Warriors Keep!

The festival is FREE & family friendly! You only need to purchase tickets if you are partiicpating in the Race to Brunch 5K or the Barnyard Party. (Don't miss out on these FUN activities!!)
Featured Activities:RACE TO BRUNCH 5KJoin us for the Race to Brunch 5k that will take place at the 'Polo Field' at Myers Park! The scenic field race will be chip timed and all participants will receive an event tee and swag bag! Brunch food vendors will be waiting for you at the finish line and the bar will be open! A portion of the proceeds benefits The Warrior's Keep!
Packet Pickup is Thursday, May 24th from 4pm-6pm at Run On McKinney! You can arrive at the event starting at 8am and the race will start at 9am! The parking instructions and the event map will me emailed out on Wednesday, May 25th!
MUSICWe'll have 6+ bands playing throughout the day! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and jam out at the amphitheater! Our featured bands: Maylee Thomas Band, Aaron McDonnell, Mathew Bell & Next of Kin, Quibble Brothers, Chelsea Pilgrim band and the Justin Merritt Band! RECREATION & CLASSESTake a few of your favorite recreation classes or spend the day trying new things! Some of our classes include goat yoga, craft cocktail mixology, big green egg cooking class, wild edibles walk, kids flag football, barre 3 in the park, flower pressing, blending essential oils, fire starting 101, and so many others! The full schedule is available on facebook and the event website!CLASSESJoin us at the hilltop pavilion for one of our 'simple sessions'. Local experts will be leading classes every half hour. Some examples are compass navigating, wine growing, archery, summer cocktail mixology, backpacking 101, stress relief meditation, gardening and herbs, setting up a camp, how to be a savvy traveler.
