This is a rare chance to see the newly released digitally remastered High Definition presentation of this 1972 classic from director, Werner Herzog. Set a few decades after the destruction of the Inca empire, a Spanish expedition leaves the mountains of Peru and goes down the Amazon river in search of gold and wealth. Following the first screening, the film will be re-shown with the director’s audio commentary that gives great insight into the challenges that Herzog faced in the making of this movie, including explosive actors and dangerous natural elements.
