Man, has it been one hot summer; temperatures breaking the triple digits, heat waves as far north as Chicago, sweltering heat making once-enjoyable outdoor activities brutal, sweat-soaked chores. We don't know about you guys, but fall really can't come soon enough.

Autumn comes on September 23rd this year and the (hopefully) cooler temperatures will definitely get a receptive welcome from us.  If you want to welcome the season in style, though, you've got to check out the Crescent Fall Celebration going down at the Crescent Fountain outside the Rosewood Crescent Hotel.

This event takes place on September 30 and features a number of features and attractions perfect for an elegant night on the town.  Enjoy a full-fledged fashion show, runway and all, presented by Dallas' own Stanley Korshak alongside a silent art auction by the Linearis Group to benefit Works on Paper.

Some items available for bidding at the auction include three night lodging at Las Ventanas al Parisio in Cabo San Lucas with round-trip airfare by American Airlines, tickets to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, a suite at a Dallas Mavericks or Stars game at the American Airlines Center, and more.

Live music will be provided by Emerald City and food as well as drinks will be widely available.  Enjoy food sampling from some of Dallas' best chefs and their respective establishments including the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, Capital Grille,  Nobu, Palomino and more. The Crescent Fall Celebration will also hold a special drink and wine tasting alongside the food sampling.

Finally, the Spa at The Crescent will be providing "mini spa experiences" perfect for winding down after a busy night.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, head to the Crescent Fall Celebration website here and book your reservation today!
