Synopsis
A community activist named Queen is so afraid of being labeled “The Angry Black Woman” that she has taken a back seat to the leadership role in her community. Although, some say she is the key to her community’s rise, her words are often met with resistance and hostility. On the edge of giving up on her vision, Queen is suddenly swept away on a journey leaping worlds, historical events and time periods where she ultimately finds herself in a land called The City of Chaos. This troubled community is tangled in a web of internalized racism, colorism, classism, female degradation and the pursuit of privilege.
However, as Queen begins to question old ways and beliefs of the community, once again, she finds that her words are not welcomed with open arms, especially by its King. Will a troubled people consider Queen’s vision and new ways of thinking, or will they choose to remain as they are in an endless battle with each other over titles, status and the pursuit of privilege?
