So, you find yourself here in the city looking for things to do in Dallas.  Luckily, there's no shortage of options when it it comes to this vibrant and eclectic area of Texas.  From restaurants to nightlife, museums and so much more, there's so much to do in Dallas that you can only blame yourself if you find yourself cooped up and bored.

One great thing anything booming metropolis should have is a zoo and Dallas is definitely no exception.  The Dallas Zoo is a great way to get outdoors and see some truly fascinating creatures you really can't find elsewhere.

Founded in 1888, the Dallas Zoo is the largest zoological park in Texas and home to 406 species and 1,800 animals.  The zoo is divided into three sections, The Wilds of Africa, Zoo North, and the Children's Zoo, each with their own set of attractions perfect for adults and kids of all ages.

Head to The Wilds of Africa and explore exhibits like the forest aviary where you can see colorful parrots, songbirds, and waterfowl, or the Giants of the Savannah exhibit where you can see anything from elephants to zebras, impalas, and many more animals.

The little ones will be wowed by the children's zoo at the Dallas Zoo and all the attractions it has to offer.  Enjoy pony rides or stop at the Underzone where you can see mole rats that lurk beneath the surface and kids can crawl through a burrow to pop up in a safety bubble to observe a dwarf mongoose in action.

These are just a few of the awesome exhibits at the Dallas Zoo.  Head out there and discover your favorites today!
