The Irving Arts Center in partnership with the National Geographic Museum in Washington D.C.Presents Peruvian Gold, and will showcase extraordinary objects from Peru's pre-Inca heritage. A full schedule of free events is offered along with the exhibit.
Event Details
Dr. Walter Roberts, Senior Lecturer at the University of North Texas will address general developments in South America prior to 1500 CE (AD) with a focus on Andean cultures. Roberts will explore the issue of how scholars define “civilization” and how the cultures of pre-modern South America fit into this debate.
