If you've got little ones, you probably know how hard it is finding activities outside that house that don't cost and arm and a leg and still satisfy junior's insatiable hunger for something fun and entertaining.

If you're in Dallas though, there is a bit of relief to this common problem, at least for one day during the month.  Target First Saturday at Nasher Sculpture Center is a day dedicated to kids and all the potential fun they can have at the sculpture center.  Best of all, it's free.

The next one goes down on August 6 and is sure to be a day filled with energetic activities for the kids and, maybe, just a little relaxation and sculpture exploration for you.

Kids can enjoy a variety of shows and activities throughout the day including an Art in Action sculpture demonstration, children's art activities, family tours throughout the day, and even a yoga class sponsored by YogaSport.

If you want to explore the rest of Nasher Sculpture Center on Target First Saturday, that's fine too.  Their current exhibition, Statuesque, brings together the work of six renowned sculptors to create an outdoor exhibition (Nasher's first) of large-scale, vibrant metal sculptures.  Or, browse their permanent collection of ethnographic and archaeological works from areas like Latin America then explore modern sculpture from the Americas and Europe.

The sculpture collection at Nasher is internationally-renowned and definitely a feast for the eyes.  Bring the kids for Target First Saturday, explore the rest of the Nasher Sculpture Center, and have a great Saturday out in beautiful Dallas.
