Oak Lawn is a wealthier part of Dallas, located directly north of downtown. The neighborhoods in this area tend to be more upscale and taken care of but they also provide a friendly atmosphere and picturesque nightlife. The environment and architecture is very contemporary looking. Business connections are easy to make here. Home for a majority of the business workers of downtown, meeting and getting advice throughout restaurants and bars in the area is great. Oak Lawn nightlife tends to draw the young adult and older crowd but keeps things classy and sophisticated. The Dallas Bar here in Oak Lawn usually draws a large crowd and is suited for many types of people, even offering a pool in the summertime. However, if you want a change of scenery or crowd after hours, Oak Lawn is accessibly close to downtown Dallas which makes things convenient. The community is also quite diverse so you will find lots of different kinds of events going on.
